So, I forgot why I don't like playing my friend at Battle of Westeros. So, we set up the scenario "Breaking the Siege," which already implies that I, the Lannisters and the one sieging Riverrun, am going to lose. But, I was okay with that. We have played a total of four games prior, and I have only one once, by the skin of my teeth.
So, I got the play-by-play. Let it begin!
 |
The set-up. Looks even. |
Alright, so I'm defending. I have to protect my siege towers and the fish pieces, one of which is Edmure Tully, my captive. The game will last five turns.
 |
I did pretty good by the end of Turn 1. |
So far, so good. We've come to initial blows, and I have dealt minor casualties without suffering much.
 |
End of Turn 2. I'm doing really good. |
I've all but broke his left (my right) flank by the end of Turn 2. I destroyed his initial attack on my left (his right) flank. By now, my opponent starts bitching that I have already won. I tell him we still have three more turns to go.
 |
I've got him now! End of Turn 3. |
So, I've broken his left (my right) flank almost entirely. He brings around soem calvary to my left, hoping to jump through my gap in defense.
 |
Dah f**k just happened?! End of Turn 4. |
Then Greatjon Umber shows up. Its one of his generals, and by far the most powerful piece in the entire game. In one turn, he captured one of my generals and completely... COMPLETELY... ended my game.
 |
Beginning of Turn 5, my last two generals try desperately to bring down the Greatjon. |
I was pretty much finished, but he had not taken any objectives until this last turn. If I can just kill Greatjon!
 |
Game over. I'm red! |
Ya, so, Greatjon one-shot all three of my generals. The rest was just clean up. I got creamed.
So, yeah, I don't really like this game... Anyway, while we were doing this, my cat and his dog were having an epic showdown under the table. At least my cat won that. Someone's gotta pull his weight around here.
If I had to continued to roll as badly as i was for the first have of the game i would have lost. But then you walked up to the Greatjon Umber and he was like and your dead and your dead and your dead, then I won. Sorry.
